ACBC is once again participating in the annual statewide Give to the Max Day on Thursday, Nov. 19!
Early GTMD giving starts Nov. 1 – with the opportunity for ACBC to qualify for additional prizes through Nov. 19!
Give to the Max Day, a statewide grassroots giving event organized by GiveMN, has raised more than $400 million for more than 10,000 organizations since its inaugural year in 2009.
For Give to the Max Day 2026, we’re hoping you can help ACBC reach our $100,000 goal!
Each donation to ACBC through GiveMN.org from Nov. 1-19 qualifies for additional grants from the Give to the Max Day prize pool, thanks to the generosity of the Bush Foundation. On Nov. 19, Give to the Max Day, GiveMN will award additional grants!
In a year that had record numbers of households/individuals visiting the food programs at ACBC, the need in the community is greater than ever. In September, ACBC had 2,793 household (8,643 individual) visits to their food programs. With the busy holiday season rapidly approaching, the need in our community continues to rise. In Minnesota, 1 in 5 households is experiencing food insecurity – your gift today makes an impact in the fight against hunger.
At ACBC, your support helps provide programs such as:
- Food Shelf Market: Participants shop for items they need e.g. fresh produce, meat, dairy, eggs, shelf-stable, bread, bakery, hygiene, pet food, and more.
- Outdoor Refrigerated Food Lockers: Food locker pick up is as an alternative option to a monthly market appointment. Participants are able to place an order online up to 48 hours in advance to pick up food (perishable and nonperishable) from the outdoor temperature-controlled lockers during a flexible pick-up time. This new program launched in the spring of 2026!
- ACBC Meals on Wheels: Starting Nov. 1, ACBC will be launching the ACBC Meals on Wheels program which provides fresh, nutritious meals and connection to seniors and people with disabilities.
- Outreach Grocery Delivery: Monthly delivered groceries to home-bound seniors and those with disabilities.
- Weekly Program: Weekly assistance for people who are experiencing homelessness or living in temporary housing.
- CSFP (Commodity Supplemental Food Program): Additional food and nutrition education to low-income adults ages 60+.
- Additional Food Access: Extra opportunities for additional food e.g. produce distributions and community events.
- Summer Food Bags: Child-favorites to help with the increased need of food during the summer months when children are home from school.
- Birthday Bags: Themed birthday bags with toys and other birthday items for children ages 1-18.
- Thrift Store: Free and low-cost clothing and household items.
- Community Outreach: Community visits to bring resources and information to focused areas.
- Resource Referral and Navigation: Working with families to provide other needed resources.
Thank you for helping to strengthen our community!
