& Thrift Store

The ACBC Food Shelf is open to community members Monday-Thursday, by appointment only. Appointments can be scheduled up to 48 hours in advance.

The Thrift Store is available to participants during their regular shopping appointment. It is open to the general public from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday and Friday.

Serving Anoka County & Surrounding Communities

We pride ourselves on providing food, clothing, household items, and resources to families in need while maintaining the dignity of those we serve. We make it as easy as possible during your visit. We have plenty of food, with a variety of choices - just like a grocery store. We’re focused on building relationships with our community members and reducing barriers to receiving food.

Support Programs

Senior CSFP Program

The Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) provides eligible seniors aged 60 and older with nutritious food choices and educational materials each month, in addition to their regular food shelf visits.

Grocery Delivery Program

Grocery delivery is offered to homebound individuals, if eligible, who are unable to go into the community to access groceries.

Additional Programs

ACBC has additional programs available, including produce distributions, weekly food assistance for individuals experiencing homelessness, youth birthday bags, summer food for kids, and Thanksgiving food kits.

Since its founding in 1971 by four visionary women, ACBC Food Shelf has grown from a small basement operation to a cornerstone of community support in Anoka County. Our growth reflects our commitment to combat hunger, provide essential clothing and household items, and empower our community members through access to vital resources, all while maintaining the dignity of those we serve.
