Serving Anoka County For 45 Years

Volunteers have been providing emergency food and clothing to area residents of Anoka County for over 45 years. The food shelf is a local nonprofit; non-government agency. While volunteers will serve anyone in need of food throughout Anoka County one time, our services are targeted to residents of Andover, Anoka, Coon Rapids, Nowthen, Ramsey, and part of Champlin.

How It Works

Once every 30 days, clients can choose a free 3-day supply of food based on the size of their family.

Where It’s From

Food comes through a variety of sources including retail rescue from area stores, food drives, church collections, and individual donations.  Some food is purchased through food banks to fill in the shelves.

What We Offer

ACBC provides a variety of food including fresh produce, meat, dairy, eggs, bread, and canned items.  We also provide basic personal items such as toilet paper and dish soap.  The food choices and personal care items can’t be guaranteed due to occasional supply limits.

What You Need

To request food, you must have a photo ID and a current piece of mail for each adult living in the home.
